   I wanted to mock Captain Toad's cowardice, but after a closer inspection, those are airships suspended in space with two black holes close by and he is just a toad.
   
   It's actually quite ominous the more I look at it.
   
   Lucky for the good guys, Mario lacks that part of the brain that lets one feel fear. :mario:

     @Rasterman Mario Galaxy has lore because some of the more forward-thinking members of the dev team convinced Miyamoto that he should take a few weeks off to focus on his gardening hobby while they quietly snuck Rosalina's storybook in the game.
     
     Miyamoto was apparently super Triggered by this, and went out of his way to nerf Galaxy 2's story and characterization in retaliation (no really, the nigga deadass thought Galaxy 1 was too story-heavy).

     Hey, there's backstory in this! Rosalina already has more personality in two chapters of that story book than Peach in 35+ years of Mario games.
     
     ...so, is she immortal or...
     
     Also, why does this Mario have lore? I still have questions about Isle Delfino. What are piantas? What are noki? Why do they live there? Is that a vassal of the Mushroom Kingdom or an independent nation? I need answers, dammit!

     They are now making fire FLUDDs too. Is Egad supplying Bowser or has this been a case of industrial espionage? I need to watch a 4 hour video essay on the geopolitics of Super Mario. Maybe they'll cover what the Koopa Kingdom's intelligence agency is like.
     
     The 2D sections almost make it feel like I'm playing a Mario game. Look, it even has a SMB fire bar!

     I was just trying to dodge the bullet William while I thought of how to best approach the situation, since one bullet would destroy the fence, but it would quickly repair itself, making you start over. I had to line two or three bullets in a row to damage the dome behind the fence...

     @ChristiJunior @Rasterman I understand Miyamoto's pure gameplay approach, and it works for many things, but Galaxy 1 really benefitted from its bells and whistles so much that, despite everything going for Galaxy 2, the first game felt more complete and fulfilling. KingK's vid was probably the best explainer of this that I know.
