   I got further in God of War Ragnarok and can confirm it in fact does not get better, this game is painfully mid, bad even. Just not fun to play

     @BitBun I wanted xenoblade to win but most of the other nominees, for example plague tale, all blow the gowr OST out of the water. Shouldn't have even been nomimated

     @BitBun not only is the soundtrack forgettable, the characters are insufferable. I like the actor who plays Kratos, and maybe he acted his hardest here, but the script is ass, plot is ass.
     
     Then again, the other best voice nominees were LITERALLY WHOs

     @dielan Oh yes I certainly have other problems with the game, but the praise for the soundtrack bit bugged me the most.

     It's been weird, I didn't really like Ragnarok, but all my friends seemed to. I feel like I'm in bizarro land. :blobcatDizzy:

     @dielan I was pretty disappointed to see it win the best soundtrack at the VGAs. It's serviceable, but IMO pretty forgettable. Just felt like a similar kind of thing you'd get from some Hollywood movie or something, and we'll forget about it after everyone stops caring about the game. It definitely has an "identity" to its soundscape, but I'm not sure if I believe that's enough to set it apart from other soundtracks in any unique way.

     I know that the VGAs are just a popularity contest, but it bugged me for some reason.

     Isn't that pretty much all AAA games that tries too hard to be an Hollywood movie?
