   @kawa yeah. The engine isn't THAT much more powerful than the ones it's based on (Q1 and Q2), but they managed to use it in so many interesting ways, to depict realistic environments in a way neither of those games had even tried

     Just beat #HalfLife and you know what? It was impressive enough years ago but now that I know all the things I know about game engines and all that sorta stuff, it's only more impressive.
