     I get told that I'm like a woman, but I'm a guy and I don't wanna change that because you can't. I just have a sense of empathy and emotional complexity. I'm not going to hurt myself with chemicals because of that.

     With someone I know who went down that path, my regret was taking him to an event that enabled him instead of going camping or some shit away from online nerd shit. I've read parents who deprogrammed their kids using similar methods as well, and say that detaching yourself from the web helps.
     
     It helps as well that alphabet people don't remember you very well even if you talked to them for years.

     @PhoenixWaifu The unfortunate thing is, at this point it's about equally as likely that an actual therapist/shrink/whatever would suggest trooning out as a group chat full of alphabet people who want to be that pathologically tolerant person with an MtF friend. So anything remotely resembling that is just mistake to mention.

     Becoming less isolated from the real world certainly helps a lot when dealing with dumb shit people have done to their minds (and others). That and well. finding hobbies that don't cease to exist when the power goes out.
     
     That being said though, bad parents blindly copying some method they saw online to detroon their kids without actually trying understand them or why it worked for other people seems to me very capable of making things much worse. Pretty much, yeah it seems to have worked- but for how long.
