   w00t! 🥳 Soon, Kitten installations should be at least ~2.5× faster¹ as they’re moving from a shallow git clone on Codeberg to the download and extraction of an optimised .tar.xz distribution from the new Kitten distribution site at https://kittens.small-web.org :)

   ¹ In a recent test on my machine: installation time was reduced from 2.13 seconds to 0.84879 seconds.

     (Having the bespoke Kittens site will also allow Small Web deployments to auto update more easily while adhering to Kitten API versions.)
