  @Turdicus @brimshae @AlabasterBrick @RealRaul Down there they just tend to have tiled floors and open air half-porches, with the critters and crawlers it becomes normal to just not take off your shoes. In the more humid parts, you don’t have carpet anyways.

  @Turdicus @brimshae @AlabasterBrick @RealRaul Yeah, I did it while I was working there but refused to EVER be one of those guys who imports one of the locals. That’s what grossed me out. You end up with this girl who’s out of her element, who can’t figure out how to live stateside, forever cursing your kids to her weirdo culture
  like using vegetable oil as salad dressing, shoes all the time, never using a vacuum but hosing down the floors once a week….all the expats I knew who did it made me sure I’d break up before heading back to the homeland. Plus those girls would just chunkify the second they got married, it was insane.

  @doluck @AlabasterBrick @RealRaul @Turdicus @brimshae The one I dated was probably something funky like 60% or so? German grandparents, intermarried with people who were part german but who knows what amount. Sandy blonde hair, but you can tell she was something other than euro from the skin tone
  There were more than a few insular colonies down there. To date one of the 3 most beautiful women I’ve ever seen was from a little co-op, born to south african/german stock

  @Turdicus @doluck @AlabasterBrick @RealRaul @brimshae She was as good as it ever got though, the majority of them would be 1/4 or so, maybe something silly like 3/8 from the germans hooking up with their equivalent of castiza stock. The whole german thing is mostly forgotten, not much culture other than some parades or holidays. And the fact they’re usually in the solid upper middle class compared to the natives.
