To be a nuancebro: Hezbollah are formidable. Iran's growing influence in the region is real. The geopolitical chessboard has shifted a lot since 2006. Yes. This is true. But you have to remember this sobering fact... these big players are for the most part, rational actors and they have more important things to consider than the dopamine rush of a bunch of weebs on a janky Twitter knock-off. Hezbollah has everything to gain and everything to lose.

The fragmentation of the post-Ottoman Arab world has made it slow to act and uniform in it's direction. I forget who it was that said the Arabs didn't lose in wars against the Israelis despite having more countries. They lost -because- they were a bunch of different countries.
All of the countries and factions involved in this need to see where the wind is blowing before they act. That's why November 3 is so crucial. Hezbollah are the right amount of strength and close proximity to Israel and they have to decide carefully if now is the time to act. They don't want to lead the greater Muslim world into a Leeroy Jenkins-tier fuckup.
