     @Wormwood I see this fear playing out w/ the youth, where the only sexual aggressors are the guys who drive pretty hard to the hoop, so it freaks the girls out.

     It’s like the only guys who ask a woman out now are the PUAs, not the safe, normal, unintimidating dudes like they used to have. It’s just cocksman, making 200 mph NASCAR laps while these poor gals try to enter the loop in their bone stock Toyota Camry

     @Twoinchdestroya @Wormwood from what they tell me it’s like their own age cohort doesn’t ask them out at all. It’s always older guys (who grew confident enough to break out of their shell and hit on women). My chick didn’t even get an actual invite to prom as an item, she got a group invite from the kid, asking if she wanted to “come to prom with me and my friends” because “it’s cheaper”. That smarts to a young lady.

     The girls say that guys are awkward and autistic, while the guys talk about this weird fear of the power dynamic women hold. Becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. (but it is funny to hear a 16 yo refuse to hit on a girl, as if he’s got assets or a career to lose)

     @Wormwood The asexual, non-binary stuff, is very common with younger girls. Partially out of attention seeking behaviour. It was common on Tumblr before this as well.
     The smarter girls will tend towards that "asexual, pansexual, etc" rather than the others. They need to couch their desire to actually have a stable family in trendy and accepted terminology.
