   remember when apple removed the headphone jack because it would allow for thinner phones?

   the last iphone with a headphone jack was 7.1 mm

   well now it's 10 years later and the newest iphone is 8.25 mm

     Latest Sony Xperia phone specs say "IP65/IP68" (unsure why the dual notation here. One for dust and one for water? which one is which? We don't know!!)

     @rdr @lain @yokel and let's not forget that the requirements to properly design waterproofing of a headphone jack wastes a ton of space inside the phone.
