He’s always seeing tripcodes IRL supposedly, seems like a fun new weirdo

This is why 4chan is still the best social media site. The reddit/twitter equivalent would be, like, a guy that posts snarky replies to Senators that are insufficiently supportive of the ukraine.
All social media is worse now, don't get me wrong, but all they can really do on 4chan is spam it with garbage, and you can ward off the worst of that with filters. A lot less than can be done through mass censorship and artificial promotion of big accounts that promote division, or shill for bad strategies. Imageboards are naturally resilient against all the worst stuff, at the price of having a higher barrier to entry.
Probably a top priority for our techfags is setting up and popularizing some kind of distributed filter system, where people can download an extension that weeds out and auto-hides the most obvious spam and shill posts automatically. 4chan has a built-in regex, sure, but we can do a lot better with modern embedding models, and especially with image embeddings.Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this.
