@Zerglingman I understand why they're doing it but as a foreigner that wants to live in Japan, I hope this doesn't become too common. I want to go around Japan to travel and visit places. I am not Asian and I can't pass for one even if my Japanese is okay.

@heavens_feel Get used to being escorted.

@heavens_feel @Zerglingman Just go in one of those Kigurumi masks they'll probably think your just an weird hobbyist.
-
@heavens_feel @Zerglingman It won't become common. It's only for specific places like tradi bars and onsens and stuff, to the point that they also say on the other sign that they don't want people from gangs or affiliated with gangs (aka, we're right wing, but not THAT right wing).
Also depending on where you intend to live, that ship has already sailed. Tokyo for example is already very (too) full of foreigners.

@Mark @heavens_feel Eh... I think on a Tokyo street, you'd be looking at still >90% nips? As of earlier this year at least.

In the picture in the OP, that's basically what the sign on the right says: "no violent gang members (bouryokudan kankeisha) allowed in the store".
