     The only purpose of the chips was to explain why clones who fought alongside the jedi and developed bonds with them later bretayed them at a moments notice, not force them to be loyal towards the Empire. It ruins the overall concept of them being genetically modified and bred by the Kaminioans to have absolute loyalty to the Republic, Chancellor Palpatine, and most importantly to follow orders over everything. The controll chips is just shitty writing imo.

     @Eternal_Iratus Always funny how people assume they’re supposed to love jedi, when most armies don’t really give much of a shit about the effete, dandy, fancy-boy political figurehead that walks in from the big city to take all the credit for their victories.

     The jedi may have a bunch of things showing them getting closer but by and large the clones were an insular fighting force who would see the jedi as outsider assholes, managers sent to placate the babbling senators to make it seem as if they’re pulling their own weight - or, as the clones see it, taking credit for the victories of the grand army of the republic.

     Watching the republic wax in strength, seeing worlds fall to political squabbles, and watching the senate’s power erode would make a smart clone worry about instability when the separatists are on the ropes. Suddenly seeing a disfigured chancellor - a war hero, kidnapped by a jedi working for the seps, and ‘rescued’ by jedi working for the senate - tell the galaxy that the jedi were a part of a massive insurrection to snatch power at the precipice of victory would have me blasting the hell out of a twi’lek bitch in a heartbeat too, no matter how blue her tiddies.
