AND ITS A GREAT ENGINEERING CHALLENGE TO MAKE ONE, ITS VERY COOL

SO A MODERN ENGAGEMENT IS EITHER WW2 SMG BUNKER RAID OR ITS TWO RETARDS FIRING IN ONE ANOTHERS DIRECTION BLINDLY FOR THIRTY MINUTES UNTIL AMMO RUNS OUT OR SOMEONE CALLED IN SOME SORT OF FIRE SUPPORT, ARTY OR CAS OR WHATEVER-
Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks (washedoutgundampilot@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 20-Oct-2023 12:52:49 JST Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks @nugger I’ve been saying for a while that the reason they want the Spear™® is that it’s simply NOT an AR15. They hate the american rifleman and his culture, and arming up their negroid legions with something that doesn’t look too much like the “weapon of slaughter, the assault rifle fifteen” is a way to distinguish themselves from us.
Someday, when they end up using it against us, it’ll give their 80 IQ 3rd world recruits a morale boost to hear that “your 6.8mm round is WAY better than those shitty bigots’ puny 5.56 trash!”
Anyways chegg this tummy from the old days when the army still had an inkling of how to raise morale

leespringfield1903 (leespringfield1903@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 20-Oct-2023 13:03:12 JST leespringfield1903 @WashedOutGundamPilot @nugger I read a post by some veteran from the era of the 1970s to 1980s that logistics is fucked.
And trying to adopt this rifle will take about a decade or just be dropped.
I read about what the spear comes with, and at face value its like a bloated up tacticool rifle.
A folding stock, which is banned in several states, but also I doubt can be used to melee.
Two charging handles.
MLOK, which has a sharp learning curve in how to use.
But yeah, it makes sense that they want a weapon to use for domestic police actions.
Though liberals will lose their talking point that "AR-15" is weapon of war lol. -

It’s simply too silly and wasteful to be a logic-based decision, they had to have approved it out of a sense of paranoia, hate, or fear.
Sure, they had their tales that they wanted to be able to take on a fully-armored chinaman/russkie w/ the codpiece plate at 600 yards, but they could have just bought a mountain of .308s to burn through all that ammunition they already own.
I think it’s part graft, part jewed, part politics, part planning. They’re looking far forward, when they can cut off the domestic support structure of the AR platform in the long run, stop handing out cheap ammo and standardized, non-trademarked parts and designs at a price normies can afford. When you tally up all the little cultural aspects I can see how the ultimate idea ended up getting approved as it meandered through the system. Everyone’s getting a little something they wanted for a while.
Plus they’ve had these gay carbine replacement competitions since I was a kid, and the Spear is at least less gay than buying a bunch of dumb HK 416’s with that heinous quad rail like they always gravitate towards.

Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks (washedoutgundampilot@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 20-Oct-2023 13:31:39 JST Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks @GabeLakmann @nugger HK sucks ass, it’s only 80’s SOF nostalgia that keeps their brand in the premium column. Every product they have is 5 to 15 years behind the curve, they simply don’t have the same need to keep up like the industry here does.
Euros, krauts, and their ilk are benchrest shooters, so all their civilian spec stuff is geared towards a single stack, 10-rd POS with heavy ass quad rails and dopey ergonomics. (they just love those dumb 11-oz rubber pads on everything) It took them what, like, a full 6 years to switch from their faggy bespoke HK-keymod to normal, lightweight Mlok? And they refused to widen their magwell to standard AR spec for more than a decade so you’d buy their $50 steel mags? (Thank the USMC for ending that, I assume)
Don’t even get me started on retardo boomers bragging about paying $500 for “genuine HK416 forgings” so they can build the ultimate bin laden rifle. The whole thing is just another boomer bubble, HK is resting on its laurels from the old days.

GabeLakmann (gabelakmann@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Friday, 20-Oct-2023 13:31:40 JST GabeLakmann The switch to SIG stuff is SOLELY to fill the pockets of the filthy kike CEO of SigSauer Ron Cohen.
Most new sig stuff is trash anyways and over priced, especially considered they outsource the QC/R&D to the consumers now.
Say what you want about HK but they make nice stuff and cut off sales to israel for being violent kikes. Ron Cohen armed cartel members and paid his way out of going to jail. -

I think they even take a mild loss on the M17 in the original deal, knowing perfectly they’ll make that money back in spades from the collector cachet.
That’s just the water cooler talk tho, and I don’t remember much aside from the usual shenanigans you see in sales

By the time the marines bought it in bulk it was already pretty aged on the commercial market. Not bad to have a pic rail for those guys, since it works and it’s durable, it just retained heat more than you’d expect for a piston, and it ended up feeling just as heavy as a 20” despite being a carbine.
I just hate it, HK refuses to ever learn a lesson from anyone but their own internal company men. Fixed, heavy sights when everyone else is cutting weight there? Ew. The american competition are moving to negative space rails with lots of cuts to alleviate weight and let the barrel cool better? Gross, we know better than that, we’ll design our OWN version of your freely licensed, open-source spec so all your accessories can’t interface with our rail! And we’ll minimize machine ops too, so it STILL comes out heavier and hotter than yours!
But people love them because governments like buying it, so they’re always in video games. Our dads like them because they were in movies as the cool MP5/P7 duo of 80’s action movies and balaclava’d SOF teams everywhere

Security teams will still be using the basic glock system in 200 years though.
