If Mexico wants to open the border to Guatamala that's cool but why should that mean the border between us an Mexico needs to be open

I don't know... Global government seems worse. I think a little isolation and self reliance could be good for everyone instead of convolution of every process on earth in the name of better cooperation between nations which is what we claim we have today.-

I never said "We" I said "us" and I was referring to the "US" which very much has a border with Mexico.
tbh I'm really bored with this conversation. It feels like the most boring version of pong I've ever played. I think states only exist if borders exist, and as long as they exist enforcing policies around their borders seems to be the primary function. You disagree. You think it's about friends having tea or something. That's cool. I just think we're never going to go anywhere. I think maybe we've had more interesting and/or productive conversations in the past and will do in the future. -
Ji Fu (fu@hostux.social)'s status on Wednesday, 25-Oct-2023 06:10:51 JST Ji Fu @thatguyoverthere in case you missed it, its the 21st century. The economy is global whether you like it or not. If you individually choose to & encourage others to practice isolation and self-reliance that's acceptable. Using the force of governments, however, to limit the choices of others because you disagree with them is immoral.
"We" don't have a border with Mexico. My border is with my neighbors, and for some reason our Township owns a field to the west of our property.
