   Israel Can Defend Itself and Uphold Its Values

   Israel cannot win this war just by killing all the terrorists. It is determined to break the power of Hamas, and in that effort it deserves the support of the United States and the rest of the world. But it can succeed only by upholding the rules and norms of behavior that Hamas so wantonly ignores. What Israel is fighting to defend is a society that values human life and the rule of law.

     @LALegault @GW I don't want my government giving any support to another government that will use the support for the wanton slaughter of innocent people. Israel wants to do genocide and murder of children, the blood can be on their own hands. As for valuing human life? What a joke.

     @CStamp @LALegault @GW Hamas attacked Israel. Nobody wants Israel to commit war crimes or do revenge murders. What we want is EVERYBODY should live in peace. Nobody wants Hamas to continue in business, either, except their financial patrons and terrorists. Israel needs aid to shore up its defenses. Gaza needs aid to feed children and care for the wounded, and to rebuild.

     @thepoliticalcat @LALegault @GW That did not justify what is happening in the Gaza Strip. This is not a measured response to an atrocity, it is compounding it. The Israeli government is terrorizing and slaughtering masses of innocent people, and I want no part of that, I do not want my tax money supporting that.
