     I really like the fact that you cant become an "influencer" (friggin hate that word) it makes it so people are jist normal, and not attention seeking fags that only care about numbers.
     
     Counter to the growing popularity of reducing things and people to mere statistics.
     
     Its also another reason why I hung out in chatrooms more than on the more "social statitics chamber bs" type platforms. You get more interactions with normal people (although discord is no longer like that now...)

     Thing is, all that get's filtered up into mass media and then into politics because everyone is too lazy to do their jobs. They think twitter is real life. I knew we were screwed when the news started putting up random tweets on air as "reporting"

     @theorytoe They've mostly gone back to Twitter at this point as I think we all suspected that they would. I was poking around some of the newer instances like journa.host or whatnot and it looks like most of the accounts haven't been posting for a few weeks.
