     @PvtProperty You shouldn’t be looking for them expecting the same approach to faith you have. Women’s faith is intertwined with community and family, it doesn’t exist in a sterile mental sandbox.

     You need to be looking for someone with a pattern of living where she wants to create the home she grew up in, where a faithful man to head the family is her goal, not necessarily faith for faiths’ sake.

     @PvtProperty Well duh. Then go to churches with better communities if you want to find that. Wanting a “faithful on her own” woman will mean you’re falling into HER household, where you will have to live by her interpretation of doctrine or invite great frictions into your marriage.

     If you align perfectly on everything then you can tell yourself she’s keeping you honest and helping you “be a better man”, but even those cases fall under my previous post: Her faith will always, inexorably be commingled with community, so she’ll push you and volunteer you to do things that have little to do with faithful living and everything to do with pleasing the local parish harpies.

     Maybe you like that, but I really hate having a chick put her finger in my chest to order me around, they never merit that level of leadership.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot Thats a really really bad idea because every woman Ive dated has grown up in a terrible home. To recreate it would not be good.
     
     That being said I agree with your general sentiment. My original point still remains the same
