     @RustyCrab I just fixed up one the other day. I'm not sure if I wanna use it as a daily driver for a few weeks as a meme or if I want to hold onto it for say car service tools or similar since those fields love them. I'm definitely gonna get a cheap as chips ssd for it the HDD is slow as balls even on Linux and the CPU is a l7500 or some shit.

     @HSTG @RustyCrab getting a used toughbook is much easier than a new one since they use resellers in 2022 which are corporate oriented. I got mine from an ewaste place.
     
     ThinkPads are less rugged but easier to buy. Ditto with Dell who has been winning contracts lately.
