   I really wanna do some PPC/PPC64 work, but I'm deathly afraid of killing the only *working* Mac G5 Quad I have currently

     I had *two* of them working at @SDF ICF event last weekend

     ...Then 20 minutes later the Revision 1 pump unit proceeded to seize up and die
