   for me 360/ps3 era was not the golden age of gaming ps2 gamecube was , PS360 gen was when cinematic experiemces and pay to play online , dlc , season pass and the like kike shit was introduced by kikerosoft and runied the gaming forever , People buying nvidia 600 and 700 series over amds 5000 and 7000 series ruined the pc gaming forever too that era was the end of the gaming as u know it

     The AAA goldrush, many mid-tier devs died and sold their soul to the devil (the big pubs) to try to reach it, and failed from a single failure, while the Japanese side struggled a lot with the once again increase in production, making fine tuned custom made engines from the ground up not quite feasible anymore
     
     It seems like AAA are currently hitting a massive wall

     @coolboymew @TornadoOfTerror you forgot the elephant in the room: the 2008 economic crisis and it's aftermath took out a lot of AAA publishers that made bad choices (Atari, Midway, THQ, etc) and smaller devs while AAA publishers fucked over their mid tier devs with big sales number expectations they could never hit. By 2012-13 it wasn't uncommon to hear about publishers wanting mid tier games to sell 5 million and whatnot.

     That's when AAA publishers got high on their own supply.

     and after drivers update 7970 went 30% even more faster u have pay nvidia extra 300$ for that kind of performance uplift nowdays
