     @Grumblesock @marlin @Grumblesock I was on the fence but after rewatching it a bit w/ zoomergf it does hold up better than expected. Got the usual libshit priors but doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it has some solid one liners.

     @Grumblesock @Grumblesock @marlin It takes a season to find its feet, hits a solid stride from 2 to maybe 4/5 from what I remember. We’ve just watched them on shuffle, can’t recall which ones are strongest.

     It does have a lot of little tidbits that slip past you if you aren’t paying attention, always wondered why millies only watch the office on repeat

     @Grumblesock @Grumblesock @marlin Nah not THAT great. You can shop online while you watch it, it’s just that having it on repeat in the living room isn’t as horriffic as friends is, because you notice some stuff that slipped by on the first time around.

     Only a problem for the guys w/ gf/wives though, they LOVE having something playing 24/7

     I'll be sure to give it my full attention whilst it's on. I'm not very patient though so don't know that I'll commit to watching multiple season of it but I'll see how I get on with the first few hours of it before being too harsh a critic. I've enjoyed a couple of shows that were slow starters but grew on me after a bit.

     Man I visit friends every now and then and their misso's always have the worst sitcoms and dramas playing. Actually drives me insane. I don't know how the fuck they put up with it.

     @SettlerLife @Grumblesock @Grumblesock @marlin I think women are meant to be in a thrumming home community that’s alive with constant activity. Closely clustered homes, kids from the siblings and cousins running around the property, a constant stream of friendly family coming and going.

     TV and media playing on constant loop simulates that, like jungle sounds being played on speakers behind the forest mural of a monkey cage. It keeps them from bashing their brains out on the zoo’s glass.
