     You need to wrangle control over it though. I used to have it too but life experience got me over that hump when I saw the regret of people who never said it.

     It’s gay and cheesy and squirm inducing but people are so thirsty for that intimacy it’s worth squeezing it out of yourself no matter how uncomfy you are. It costs you pennies of effort, but they receive dollars of joy from it.

     Granted, you can stay in the shell and stay distant until you see enough real, somber, heavy stuff with your own two eyes. You either learn to value your loved ones on your own - the cheap way - or fate will teach you the painful way.
