Right now I'm hoping/expecting it dies a fiery death amid a flurry of leaks, high profile apps threatening to pull out of the market, reinvigorated national discussions about leaving the EU, and has-been politicians attempting to claw their way back from obscurity by holding up the process for ransom until they're given some "important" role in the whole thing.
@cjd@dicey i think this will never pass, it's probably a way to bully american companies to pay more monies via whatever corruption mechanisms they currently have going. can't do everything with the gdpr.
I suspect the era of shaking down American companies will soon be over. Nobody's ready for a sustained 5% treasury, the next 12 months are going to be ugly.
The EU is a project of the US State Department, it always was. The DoS sustains it and the DoS rules over it. The day the DoS is reformed, the EU will cease to exist.
