   I think it's funny how much everyone was freaking put about energy utilization wrt block chain technologies, but environmental concerns over ai are nil even though even more energy is likely to be consumed by it.

     @fu I more find it amusing that there is no one pointing out publicly that the recent attention AI is getting is going to result in even more power consumption. The "environmental cost" of AI is completely ignored. In fact I think there is a strong belief that AI will solve environmental problems for us (or at least provide us with solutions).
