     There's a difference between corporal punishment for disciplining and abuse. If you "backhanded" your kid, youre abusing them.

     a lot of "discipline" in my life has just been retards "punishing" me for doing something "bad"
     
     when in reality, i've always thought it was me defending myself, stating the truth, and solving a problem
     
     considering everything of mine gets proven right over time, i'm fairly certain it was mostly if not only abuse i faced
     
     that being said, something has changed, and i would say corporal punishment is one of those things
     
     maybe at some level, it forces certain bad children to behave because at some level, they're just horrible people who need the level of fear and force to inhibit them from doing back
     
     or maybe it's the reason all these bad children are a thing -- they all hate their dad for a reason
     
     though, i'm different from the others in my generation in that i don't hate my dad because he was abusive; he's a pathetic man who can't hold a job and wastes money on lottery, with nothing saved up for retirement, and harasses his wife for his gambling funds, who's the actual breadwinner in the house
     
     strangers were often the people who "disciplined" me, and i'll gladly hop back on my high horse as a kid and say i'm better than 95% of the human population at least if they're all genuinely like that

     It's kind of funny actually. Most of the zoomers and Gen A are massive fucks up because they're shitskins who were either abused or "disciplined" in the manner you're describing. Granted, some low IQ subhumans will never learn, but if you don't make disciplining an exercise in accountability it's never going to work to begin with even with proper White children.
