   It continues to amaze me how they managed to psyop the midwit class into worshipping “efficiency”. When the news broke that BMW was gonna charge monthly subscriptions to use the standard, factory installed heated seats, there was a ton of support from the redditor types because “it’s more efficient that way!”

   Even when they don’t benefit, they’re happy to forego the living standards they’re entitled to on the altar of efficiency. It’s amazing work, when you think about it. It’s perfect midwit fuel. All those “todayIlearned” threads and “Adam Knows Everything” specials went a long way in getting them excited to welcome any societal change as long as it’s presented as smarter than the better thing it replaces.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @Hoss @Elliptica The common denominator in all of it is the pursuit of intellectualism. The midwit will accept any amount of degradation if it means doing something that some mouthpiece said is 'smarter'.
     The 1 billion dollar play that would disrupt how the hype machine works, would be to come up with a way to take the notion of 'smart' and make it undesirable, associate it with shame in some way.
