     @anomalon I'm not sure I understand how it's gets hidden if we use more hashtags instead of less.

     Everyone in the conversation (as far as I saw) said they'd be fine with using both as #ActuallyAutistic has a traditional following.

     Somehow, in an effort to avoid "gatekeeping", autistic content gets hidden from people who are new to the fediverse unless someone in the know shows them in. It's not a gate, it's a clubhouse!

     @anomalon I didn't perceive it as a rush to a new hashtag but as creating a new alternative to the old one for those who aren't acclimated to it and for some reason find it confusing.

     Personally, as I said a couple posts ago, I'll use both.
