It's funny how people can become blinded by compassion, like setting up yet another bureaucratic agency to administer handouts is bound to improve the lot of savages living in the desert because the people promoting it say they care.

Yep, and the Lutherans are still active in a lot of Aboriginal communities. The problem is that the help that they need right now is in the form of increased law enforcement and an elimination of drugs and alcohol.

It's hard to tell honestly, given the city and demographics you'd think they'd be all for it, but it seems that a good amount of them are against it.
But there is a lot of compassion for the Aboriginals regardless, so there will be some sadness when it fails especially with how it will be spun by the media.
