   There's a glumness to Zoomers, even the happy, successful ones, the ones who at least have a chance of "making it" or who have "made it". We all know this country is dying, we make jokes about it, we darkly chuckle when someone brings up the fall of Rome or nod along with an exasperated understanding when someone makes a comparison to Weimar Germany. In the ones that can bear it it just creates a sense of purpose, of a desire to survive the coming storm, for most though it just spawns the darkest, most all consuming nihilism you could possibly imagine. And you can tell these people out of a crowd, the ones that still take care of themselves and the ones who have completely given up.

     Collapse just means you finally replace faceless, untouchable problems like societal rot, HR supremacy, and the economy with things you can shoot in the face and hold for ransom.

     This is why I'm hesitant to cheer for collapse. There is great tragedy to come, even greater than what we've seen so far.
