emailed the internet archive about excluding poast domains from the wayback machine. after some red tape it looks like we succeeded

@graf Why? Fedi mirrors/archives fedi, and it seems like it would be fine to let the Internet Archive keep Poast. (The only time I saw someone kick up a stink about Archive Team, it was berries.space, and the reason for that was unsavory.)
Given that archives are all over, having this archive, in one place, accessible to whoever, seems reasonable. Otherwise you just get a few hundred archives that you can't search.

Nobody reads old poasts except for antifa and alogs.
-
@Ariovistus @skylar @graf That's fucking retarded. I just linked to an old post because it had information in it that I wanted to convey to someone. Maybe you just use fedi to tell people you shidded and farded but fuck's sake, the world's a little bigger than the corner of it that is quaking in fear over being gangstalked.

@graf @p making life slightly harder for drama niggers and journos seems worth the minor blow to "shit where's that meme poast user NiggerCumSneed made last month"
-
@p just felt like it

> In a lot of countries people get jail time for thing they said online.
Well aware. You're crying about Antifa. Grow some balls.
> Keep "owning" me with old posts, if that helps you cope with reality.
If you think that is why I think it's fine for the Internet Archive to index fedi, then this kind of makes my point, you neurotic bitch. I don't give a damn what you posted a week ago, let alone a year ago. You draw a lot of inferences that are completely unwarranted. I don't know how to make this more explicit: I don't give a shit about "owning" you, but you pissing your pants and tagging me with the highlights makes you an embarrassment.

The FBI drives to the homes of angry boomers who said means things about Biden and flat out murders them. In a lot of countries people get jail time for thing they said online.
In response to all of this, the internet will become more private, withdrawn, less searchable and maybe even fractured. Because the people using it will increasingly prefer it that way.
The internet you knew is dead. Deal with it. Keep "owning" me with old posts, if that helps you cope with reality.

> Perhaps you wanted it to be this way since the start, ain't that so? Pretending to be a martyr is quite self-soothing.
Prospective martyr, not even a real martyr.

Opsec issue.
>the internet will become more private, withdrawn, less searchable and maybe even fractured
Mastodon/Ackoma mindset. Scurry away like rats instead of standing up and adopting technology resistant to that, divide et impera. Perhaps you wanted it to be this way since the start, ain't that so? Pretending to be a martyr is quite self-soothing.
