     there's no script yet to update the desktop (because you might have your own comfy setup already). if you want to try out the new desktops on an existing system, you'll have to: `apt update`, `apt install reform-tools wayfire firedecor python3-gi gir1.2-ayatanaappindicator3-0.1 dunst pkexec synaptic pasystray` and then copy all the config files from `/etc/skel/.config/*` over your own `.config/` (or select what you need).
     or create a new user account which is populated with files from skel.

     this is how the new wayfire desktop looks like.

     i also had a version with window shadows but will ship that later, because the performance implications are not clear yet.

     what's missing for the future:
     - a friendlier onboarding process with initial user creation, keyboard and timezone setup (currently you have to do this manually)
     - something like greetd to get you to the desktop session with less effort
