      It's the worst paradox I know, that a woman won't love you if you need her to. When you stop needing a woman a woman is far more likely to love you

      Years ago my father gave my mother a new ring which she now wears instead of the old one. I know she’ll give it to me if I have a woman to marry. I desperately want to propose to my love with my mother’s ring. But I fear it will never happen.

      I’m not so sure it’s a conversation one’s parents can have with them because it’s just so integral to the human experience, so deeply personal, that it’s just so difficult to explain as it is. It’s so natural that there’s not really a step by step guide for it, there’s not really a roadmap per se but it’s like

      I’m terrible with feelings, and for me it was a feeling. That’s all I can really say. It wasn’t something based on instructions or something I had to “talk” about to figure out, it was something I just felt?
