Oh so you can walk across the entire planet, the game just crashes when you try to. I told everyone prior to release that this game just screamed "fuck it, the modders will figure it out" and I was right.

>Walk across the entire planet
Why? There isn't anything there...
Just the same procedural outpost buildings and encounters everywhere. No matter if you're out in the sticks or next to new atlantis, you're gonna get "abandoned refinery" with 20 bland pirates in it. Literally had a guy tell me how he is hiding at the edge of the settled systems from the debt collectors and how he didn't think anyone would find him here while the "random encounter" ship landed right next to his hideout.

isn't that all Bethesda games after Skyrim 20 gajillion Anniversary re-re-release?

The funniest thing is that Bethesda doesn't know how to cache tiles like NMS does
You can see this with Fallout 4 and Diamond "City" area where there are a thousand unused props that are all loaded in at once

Well, they focused their engine dev time on allowing you to have tens million cheese wheels in your house and not silly things like culling unused assets to improve performance.

You're telling me No Man's Sky is better coded than Toddfield?
