   Plane crashes during a ‘gender reveal party’. The pilot died.
   
   And all that for a child that has a different gender in a few years... or even no gender.

     Even IF he picked one of those planes/kits rated for +6/-4G they’re very picky about weight limits, you can’t just toss everything in and yank it around without worry, particularly if your wing spar is spruce or carbon or whatever.

     If it’s like most of these ancient older certificated aircraft then the spar, if metallic, corroded through. It’s a problem in the humid states already, and some aircraft are a lot worse for wear without anyone even knowing. Nobody expected small planes to be in service long enough for their wing spars to rust through…even now I think the FAA’s approach to some of them sucks. They just tell you to inspect what you can and paste over it w/ anticorrosive compounds….just like a dude w/ a tuned EK hatch trying to hide the quarter panel rust. Doesn’t work for hondas, so I don’t know why it would for stressed members in 80 yo planes, but…..

     But yeah, probably overG, with a modest probability of niggin’ in either maintenance, materials selection (if homebuilt), construction.
