     @nobu he got me playing earlier this year and I got a pretty good collection. Been picking up a lot of reading topics from the whole thing, too. Never paid too much attention to the superprop era but they got a lot of really cool ones in there.

     Don’t get too invested in the yellows just yet, you need 5 copies to get them to the level cap, and your universal cores are relatively rare. I should have used some of the more common/rare ones more, they’re good on oil burn.

     It wasn't the tower defense that tripped me up funny enough, it was the materials farming. Too much like fgo's system (I played JP fgo religiously from JP release through 2020). It gave me PTSD. Sorry friend.

     @Zerglingman @Xeraser @nobu I’ve been saying that you might be able to get something going where it’s chess, but with a gacha overlay. Seems to have a core of popularity to start with at least.

     But it’s always, always dependent upon the art. I know a guy in the domestic game industry, he said that his company is eager to get in on the gacha grift but they refuse to actually make attractive sexy women. They think they can get billions by selling grownup men with disposable income and a healthy sex drive the digital equivalent of amiibo NFT’s

     @Zerglingman @nobu pretty much, and since they’re relatively infrequent the only ones you feel confident in using are on time-limited girls you don’t worry about seeing again. It sucks when you burn 2 valuable cores and then a day later roll the very chick you needed to save them, and have to dispose of it for nothing

     @Zerglingman @nobu No, you don’t even get cores. You have to consume the same ship x2 for the final upgrade (so your xp doesn’t go to waste) and they give you a universal placeholder girl to burn. If you get a double, you get this semi-worthless alt-currency to the tune of 3x what you get from an uncommon…..so basically nothing.

     It’s stingy, but it does make you value the ones you have. It’s a tough balance. You gotta put those in so people stay invested and don’t burn out by maxing out and never coming back.
