     @drewdevault ahah yeah. tbh ARM itself is not a problem for me/us, that's why RISC-V also doesn't really help. the problems are the weird vendor IPs, GPUs, and bootloader blobbery.

     @mntmn If it's something you genuinely want to get better at then it may help to pinpoint what is so taxing about it. Maybe compare your experience with a virtual talk?

     @ekaitz_zarraga also, giving the actual talk is not the problem, i just don't enjoy business traveling and the prep work. i'm not looking for advice on how to improve this, just wanted to vent a bit.

     @mntmn then you shouldn't! The loss of that is you won't personally contribute to spreading the word.

     Maybe finding an organization that has these values, or helping in founding one, then elevating them to spread the values is a next step?
