   Seems like I'm already getting shadowbanned on shitposter.club?
   Because I can't see any of my replies in a conversation I started from their frontend.
   Not sure about detroitroitcity.com, because it's Cuckflared.
   
   Would be nice if shadowban lists would be made public, so I can at least avoid wasting my time replying to someone who can't see me anyway.

     Nah they just have jank federation issues tbh with smaller instances.
     
     I know @Moon has said he's very choosy about who he defederates, so I'm sure it's something going on with pleroma and federation again.

     @ryo there's no such thing as a shadowban on fedi. You're either remote deactivated or all of social.076.moe is defederated or you're just mistaken. fba.ryona.agency knows about defederation
     
     I don't really care about instances that restrict speech anyway, the users who are fine with having their feed censored can suck my ass

     @ryo The admin of DRC has a tough stance on free speech so I doubt that he is shadow banning you. He doesn't block instances at all. I just don't get why he has his site behind CloudFlare. I actually brought it up a couple of times, yet he still ignores me.

     @ryo I mean at the very least, if really think you need CloudFlare (which you obviously don't) have an onion or I2P domain so people can bypass the verification checks.

     Then explain how Poast managed to specifically shadowban me on .ne.jp, but not anyone else on the same instance then?
     Because they actually did exactly that.
     
     I generally don't mind if other instances restrict speech, but don't advertise yourself as a "free speech" instance if you do so, because that's literally lying.

     It doesn't have the word "shadow" in it, but other than that I can't see any difference between shadowbanning and deactivation.
     Both ways you have no idea of knowing they deactivated/shadowbanned you until you check whether your message got through or not.
     So in what way is that supposed to be different?

     I don't care about being autistic over the naming, functionality-wise it's exactly the same.
     It's like if somebody said "don't walk while using a phone", then you walk while using a phone and say "this is not a phone, this is a smartphone, therefore it's allowed to walk while using it".

     @ryo so you're going to use an incorrect term to describe it that is confusing for people who read your posts? You're going to do this because your preferred term is from other, similar software you have used in the past. And you refuse to adopt the terms used by the software you are using now. You are like an immigrant that refuses to learn the language. And you wonder why people don't want to talk to you.
     
     Well I am here to tell you that this is why. Other people wouldn't tell this to you. They would just block you. Or "shadowban" you, if they are :janny:s. You are not clean of sin here. You share the blame.
