You know it was really kind of Google to take sdcard slots out of all of their phones for the last decade and a half but then also make it nearly fucking impossible to get files on and off devices without their proprietary services. Real class act, why would anyone need anything to move a sensitive file like an encrypted totp database between devices besides gdrive?

@idiot @i Get root, SSH and use rsync or sshfs, works just fine for me. If you don't have root, you aren't any better than an itoddler.

@i All of this is cope for the fact that sdcard support was axed (and you can't support sd cards on a phone that doesn't have an sd card slot.) I don't know why FTP and HTTP are options but somehow I can't use my NAS as an intermediary via NFSv4, which is equally as ancient as the aforementioned.
>Bro just buy a dongle
I HATE THE ANTICHRIST

@idiot usb drives still work via OTG, and local ftp/http servers are still easy to host on a phone

@mint @idiot busybox should be able to mount an NFS share with even termux too
but yeah, abc.xyz corp is overdue another shooting
-
@mint @i @idiot use termux instead if you don't have root or are indian

@idiot you can connect USB 2.0 to USB C and transfer directly
In fact the Pixel 7 even INCLUDES a male USB C to female USB 2.0 in its box, allowing you to connect a USB drive and transfer direclty to that.
Im completely confused? Ive never had to use gdrive of the sorts on a Google phone.
