   Oh hey that guy you voted for President to stick to the system? They are going to ritually humiliate him through the law until every ounce of hope in you is dead. Those social media platforms you thought rich outsiders were going to reinvigorate were actually trojan horses to force even worse policies down your throat. Your job? Gonna pay you less in a currency worth less but at the same time they are going to tax you more. You're gonna watch as you can't pay rent but proxy wars are funded to further fights between large power blocks neither of which give a single solitary shit about you or your wellbeing. Corrupt 20 somethings that head large monetary orgs will steal absurd wealth but get slaps on the wrist because they donated to politicians to protect them, not just left wing but right wing too because the truth is all of Washington fucking hates you. Don't worry though the law still exists, it exists to fuck you for mean posts and mild acts of disobedience.

     As more and more people check out of their system eventually we will start to build our own parallel structures. It will probably take quite a while and be full of many embarrassing fuck ups, but ultimately when no one likes or believes in these people it will get easier

     One of Trump's failings was either not understanding federal civil procedure (NPRM process in particular) or he believed that the rules did not apply to him, or made deliberate errors that courts would overturn so that he could shrug and go "I tried." I don't know which it is and it does not matter because the end result is the same.
     
     This isn't demoralization; these things actually happened, but it seems like the lightswitch brain maga zealots can't accept any criticism of Trump.

     @DemonSixOne @caekislove @Jim @William_The_Dragonborn @akariposter Wouldn’t underlings be responsible for crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) process, or telling Trump he had to go through that? Are you saying he ignored much or all of the above? Which I can believe.

     Perhaps here the bigger problem is that Trump has almost no loyalty to the people under him, aside from some commutations, and pardons at the last moment after they’d been ruined. I judged he was doomed for sure after he let the FBI and Pence railroad him into firing Flynn (in a process so corrupt Strzok took a month to revise a new form FD-302, that’s how the FBI records interviews/interrogations, conveniently no undisputable audio or video for them).

     How long was it before Trump had very, very few loyal and competent subordinates? Like the sort of people who’d provide the above advice and competence in NRPM et. al.?

     Note also McConnell slow rolled his political appointees such that he’d never have a full set had he been President for eight years, and prevented any recess appointments, but that’s of a piece with the general incompetence and as someone titled an essay I haven’t read yet, “fishing in the Rubicon.”

     Meanwhile the GOPe is so clueless to fund a new HQ for the FBI instead of zeroing its budget; while it was useful in ridding them of the turbulent Trump, they don’t realize they’re on the menu sooner or latter in this early-ish stage communist coup as Peter Brimelow accurately puts it.
