     That might work, as I only use roku to launch Plex and Prime Video apps.

     After I blocked roku.com, the affiliate ads vanished, but 10-20 ads for various Roku channel features remains.

     Machismo repeated this.

     I don't know if blocking roku.com blocks all sub domains.

     My Roku builtin to my TV shows adds, does anyone know howto block them?

     I have a pfsense firewall, and piehole, using the default Steven Black host list.

     I do have a Chromecast and an amazon fire stick. I probably should decomission them, as I can replace the fire stick with a prive video app on the TV.

     The TV has a built-in Roku, I just unplugged the Chromecast and the Amazon fire stick.
