@HellOnEarth @gozfarb @Dicer @idea_enjoyer Sven made this point and I’ll reiterate it with my own spin. The problem with America isn’t that we don’t have enough Caesars, it’s that we don’t have enough followers. We need people who will strap on the boots, and get their hands calloused helping build a better home for our people. The inherent problem is that we don’t have enough of those kinds of people. Everyone wants to be in charge, everyone wants to participate in this arms race for the hottest take have there’s treated like all the others.
This is going to sound gay to a lot of people but i don’t really care. When you see or hear a friend who is in this struggle brought to his lowest because of his efforts, you start to realize that it’s not about being in the history books or having “the hottest take” (such a faggy thing to worry about), it’s about making sure you and the people you care about don’t have their fate dictated by sleazy, evil people. Being a leader starts to look really overrated and you realize your place is at the side of your comrades, not tard wrangling the masses.
