What did the hippies of the 60s have that we don't? For all their problems, they managed to set up communes, accomplish things in the real world, even if their attempts were doomed. Was it the lack of internet, of a surveillance state?
-
@parker a lack of feds trying to railroad or kill them at the first sign of organization?
-
@parker @alex @Kazak @YTFoidLover1488 @Binkle that's why no matter how hard I want to I can't even reach out to people I knew in that circle. They deserve nothing but pain until they repent and they're gonna be sucking a gun barrel first imo.

@parker @Binkle @Kazak I’m a complete and utter fucking nobody but that never stopped the :trans_comm:s from conspiring to oust me and my friends from every single retarded hobby circle or profession I ever considered @alex
-
@YTFoidLover1488 @alex @Kazak @Binkle I've had it happen a few times too, it's not pleasant.
-
@Binkle @Kazak That's why I've tried to not operate behind an alias. Not that I'm all that controversial or important. But I noticed that on places like 4chan, people were so concerned about maintaining their persona that they could never accomplish anything real.

@parker Frequent irl contact is my guess. You can't organize if you don't know anybody
-
@Kazak @parker yeah in order for people on here to get organized, they'd need to meet each other IRL and start forming concrete connections. You can see the problems inherent there though when life-ruination is on the table
