   @poshelnahuymedia today at work we had a zoom meeting open to all employees and at the end there is an open forum for questions and a COLA raise got brought up. the CEO had the standard reasons why it couldn't happen then at the end said 'yeah cost of living is up 15%, but next year it might be down 15%. will the employees give it back?'

     @Paultron @poshelnahuymedia Will it work? eh….maybe not, but if you hit the right pressure points in the HR apparatus, (have a woman write it as if she’s narcing on the boys planning their exit) then you just might get a 3% bump?

     I had something similar once, because they overheard us talking about jumping ship to a new place opening up nearby, we mysteriously had the partners approve a blanket ~8% COL increase of almost a dollar an hour. Nothing amazing, sure, but there wasn’t insane inflation in the late 00’s

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @poshelnahuymedia i can't really complain because i got a ~18% raise last year and still live like a poornigger. like the job too. but the recession is already showing in our sales numbers and i'm eying the door, if the right posting comes along. no room to be anything but entirely mercenary these days

     @Paultron @poshelnahuymedia I don’t mind my job but I’ve sent out 3 applications lately, just based on people telling me “hey we need dudes, you should totally apply, I’ll recommend you”

     It’s all musical chairs here, the boomers are finally retiring en masse and leaving some panicked C suites in their wake

     @CenturianFrend @Paultron @poshelnahuymedia Good luck, I’ve seen a lot of guys gatekept out because of the weird, arcane myers briggs shit the FAA is doing. I have a frenofren who’s exited the military, was a controller in their ecosystem for years, and cannot find a job as a controller in the civil system. Maybe privately run towers, but the FAA is going all-out on filling them w/ nigs and women.

     IDK about the specifics, but people have referenced the addition of a personality test a few years back that mysteriously results in white guys being left out, and brown ones being let right in. So maybe try and develop a mental nig-emulator if you take that portion

Abusing the secret whisper networks is fun, people really love that secret espionage stuff, and the meeting is fresh enough in their minds that you can get a hand-wringing HR eunuch telling the brass “uh…..so remember that meeting last week? There’s a rumor that a few of the really important guys are leaving because of it”

     There were a crippling amount of rag heads when I went for the written testing.

     @CenturianFrend @Paultron @poshelnahuymedia Read up on it because that’s something I heard about years ago, might have been a pilot project. Read up on the guys who failed it and maybe give it a go NOT answering like a white man, mentally load up a diff. culture like indian or nig and answer everything like them.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @Paultron @poshelnahuymedia You actually kind of don't want to be the face since having a 'face' means that they're not letting their imagination run wild and freaking themselves out. Just stir up some gossip among the bottom teir nobodys, etc.
     If you convince them that management is considering leaving, then they may try incentivizing just the management positions. You more or less want something widespread so that they're panicking and trying to put fires out.
     Instead of making yourself the source of the gossip though, frame some unnamed individual; ask someone higher up that you're friendly with "Is it true that Mr. X found a job somewhere else?"
     That all said, the biggest raises I've gotten (apart from just getting a new job) have been because the company can't hire new people and keep them for more than a week, so you can just make everyone miserable to make the place look terrible and scare off the new hires. Then when they bump the new-hire pay by $3, you just demand the same raise for everyone working there.
