I could find uses if I could find the time I'm sure. I think it sounds most useful in a cluster. A single VM or something is probably a lot harder to find applications for but I don't know that's just the impression I get. It is also free of all the influences of the modern web trends which most Linux distros have succumbed to at this point. At the end of the day, if you are running something on plan 9 that needs to be accessible to non plan9 users, I imagine there a thousand ways to make it available, and if you just like the system and it works the way you like it, I guess to each his own. -

I'd rather get annoyed with equipment manufacturers for making drivers such an issue in the first place, but I get the frustration. These days we just have to swallow a little poison and most hardware works in Linux but it wasn't always that way. I remember going without audio for probably over a year at one point. I still think no poison would be better. -
Iska (iska@catposter.club)'s status on Sunday, 13-Aug-2023 22:08:45 JST Iska @thatguyoverthere@shitposter.club I mean, you can already that on linux AFAIK. Rio is also kinda neat I guess, but I'd rather have functioning drivers :blobcatgoogly:

Hm... what pollution? I mean, there are distros from many platforms, from daisy-chained PICO Ws to CGI rendering farms. There are minimalist distros, there is bleeding edge and everything in between.
Is that the "pollution"? -

Regarding how difficult is to satisfy every dependency when packaging and creating a "distro".
