-
@Relected @lanodan have you considered switching to lynx? :rokalife:
-
@lanodan yeah cuz i wanted to move from firefox to another browser today and found yours and it looked promising (i didnt know u were the dev)
the only thing i wanna ask is if it has adblock and keepass support
-
@Relected Not dead, new release end of this month.
And like… it's just an interface to webkit come on.
-
@lanodan @p @Relected lynx is bloat too, everything is bloat :rokalife:
-
@takao @p @Relected bloat? mothra is probably at the very least 20 times smaller than lynx as it can offload a lot more things to Plan9.
-
@p @Relected @lanodan @takao Might as well run Arachne in dosbox at this point. I'm sure it'll render the site better.
-
@mint @Relected @lanodan @takao That would make sense if dosbox could be used to plumb links and it mattered how well the site renders.
-
@p @Relected @lanodan @takao Tried running it in dosbox and it didn't like the ne2000 packet driver :_insane:
-
@p @Relected @lanodan @takao Nevermind, it works, I just had to use the driver packaged with Arachne itself instead of some random one found on the net.

@Relected @lanodan @p @takao Images don't load and I had to hardcode my cookies in bloat source as oauth page doesn't render, but it works!

@mint @Relected @lanodan @takao I mean that a minimalist browser has uses beyond what a retro browser has, but if you do manage to do it in DOS, that might be the oldest OS under which someone has actually posted to fedi using a regular web client.
-
@r @p @Relected @lanodan @takao I forwarded the internal port so it should've loaded fine over pure HTTP, so at the very least oaith page should have worked. It loads but doesn't render.
-
@mint @p @Relected @lanodan @takao I think images and the oauth page don't work only because Pleroma forces HTTPS.
-
@lanodan @mint @Relected @r @takao It does assume HTTPS when redirecting you, so I have had to adjust the URL when trying to do the OAuth dance against http://some-domain-pointing-to-localhost:42069/ and Balormo sends me back to https://some-domain-pointing-to-localhost/, but this is minor and only really matters when hacking on bloat locally.
-
@mint @r @p @Relected @takao Weird, Pleroma's OAuth page should be entirely progressive.
