     @Turkleton You can do it, but most of the good spots are taken and you gotta be at peace with only making a couple bucks off hours of work.

     It’s a nice little accompaniment to hiking, at least. You find a good stream with some history, make sure you hit it high up where fewer people can slough it, and you might find something nifty.

     @Turkleton Lucky! Chances are the guys have already sorted out the good from bad, so don’t get your hopes up too much for the easy-access stuff. It’s been a long time since I talked to the panners, but we knew a couple as a kid. Always seemed to be one of those things where the best finds took work to get to, just like finding delicious mountain stream water
