   @realcaseyrollins @OldM8 @sevvie @jeff @ryan Their response to covid was pretty insane I give you that. We weren't as crazy, but I know people who were given ultimatums to get the jab or lose their jobs. Some chose the jab and others chose the job. Also considering we likely financed the creation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus we can't expect everyone else's reaction to match our own.
   
   I do agree that Australians seem to be less capable of challenging tyranny from a technical standpoint (gun laws, etc), but our people may be easier to manipulate into ignoring tyranny entirely.

     The Eastern states are very different to the West Coast and N.T, WA is a lot like Texas. But also the cities are very different to the rural/remote towns here. Agrarians tend to be generally more anti-authoritarian. People with saviour complexes who have never been here, just look at vids from Melbourne and just assume that the rest of the continent is the same :blobcatrollingeyes:
     That's like, me looking at Portland or NY and be like, ah yee, all of USA is like this.
     I've been to the local firing range a couple of times and shot 6" S&Ws and 22. cal rifles before, didn't need a license. but if i wanted to do it regularly then yeah, I'll apply for membership. Can't do that in the city.
     
     Also for me, it's not that I've lost faith in God entirely, but I most definitely lost faith in religion and church.
     I just wanted to make that point. Also, i purely speak out of personal experience, as someone who has spent half of my life in the city and the other half in the country.
     I claim no objective truth.
     I'm just a slightly edgy, yet chill, unique individual, living out in the woods, tryna help remote towns to become more self-reliant and breakaway from the Federation. :blobcatcowboy:

     @OldM8 @sevvie @jeff @ryan @realcaseyrollins I don't fault the people of Australia for having a government that sucks. We all do that was kind of my point. I don't doubt that once you get out of cities the individual Australian is probably just a normal person trying to live in peace.
     
     As for the church, I agree. I actually spent most of my life as a kind of aspiritual pantheist. I was fed Christianity as a youth but I spit it out until I was almost 40. Now I believe in God, but I don't look at the church as any kind of authority. I think if a centralized church ever had good intentions they were long forgotten. I think the bible is valuable, but once you start giving someone else blanket authority to interpret you miss the mark.
