A lot of people would be in a shock when they come to places like Australia. The funny thing is, *technically* voting isn't mandatory here, you do have to show up and have ur name ticked off, but you don't actually have to use a ballot per se. People don't really take politics as sacred here, although they do hold sports as sacred- but i don't really have interest in breads & circuses either tbh.
