   Talk is cheap. "Ideals" don't mean anything if they're not backed up by action. Without the crucible of the frontier, the shared hardship in clawing out an existence in a foreign and untamed land, you have nothing. You can't "become" an American by taking an H1B job. The land which forged the American race no longer exists, and unless and until such circumstances arise where great deeds are once again possible, the historic American nation in any recognizable sense can only be defined through the blood of those who built it.

     @mrsaturday Just saying you believe in the Constitution and stuff doesn't really mean anything. You need a filtering mechanism to create a compatible populace. But filtering is verboten because it isn't "inclusive." Civil Rights really is one hell of a nation-killer, isn't it?

     @ArdainianRight @mrsaturday If American nationalism and Christianity were still strong, potent forces, I could imagine a powerful nationalist and religious identity combined being able to transcend racial differences. Subversives have long since made that Impossible.
