@nixCraft Brother Laser printers for the win.

I also know how to fix those old ribbon tape printers that no one (see, most people) uses anymore.

As for cats... The last cat I owned was good enough to leave mine alone.

My birds, on the other hand... Flatbed printers are better if you have birds. You don't want the bird dander (dust) to get into an ink jet.

That said, it's generally best not to use ink jets.
